Our Phlebotomy Training Program prepares you with the hands-on skills, knowledge, and confidence to begin a rewarding career in healthcare. Through our hybrid learning model, you’ll complete online coursework at your own pace and gain real-world experience during required in-person clinical training.

Admission Requirements
To enroll in the Phlebotomy Program, students must:

Be at least 18 years of age

Hold a high school diploma or GED

Provide a valid photo ID and Social Security Number (for background clearance and certification eligibility)

Complete the online application and payment agreement


Program Schedule

Online Coursework: Self-paced through Canvas, must be completed prior to clinical sessions

In-Person Clinicals: Scheduled on select Mondays (program will assign your schedule accordingly)

Total Program Length: Typically completed in 10-14 weeks

Certification Requirements
Graduates of RiseUp Career Academy’s state-approved program meet the requirements to sit for the AMT Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT) exam.
Eligibility Requirements for RPT Certification:

Completion of 120 instructional hours OR 1,040 work hours as a phlebotomist in the last 3 years

High school diploma or GED

Proof of at least 50 successful venipunctures and 10 capillary sticks
